AURELIUS
A calmer home screen
Your phone is built to keep you in it. Aurelius is a home screen built the other way round: drawing on the Stoics, it keeps in front of you what truly matters and keeps you away from what pulls you off the path.
What awaits you
- Memento mori. The home clock reminds you how much time you have, counted from your year of birth and a lifespan estimate worked out on your phone.
- Brain Dump. Whenever something comes to mind, save it by voice or text and let it go.
- Planning. Sort your thoughts into tasks and plan your days, next to the events in your calendar.
- Habits. Up to three habits on a weekly plan, ticked off right on the home screen, and a monthly retrospective of what you kept.
- The Sage. A Stoic guide to talk to when you are stuck, for adults; see its terms.
- Fewer pulls. Distracting apps stay shut during focus, addictive ones make you stop and think first, and the screen calms down at bedtime.
- Pauses. Breathing exercises and mindfulness sessions for when you need a moment.
Your data stays yours
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no account. Almost everything you put into Aurelius stays on your phone; the few cases in which data leaves it are described in full in the privacy policy.
Free, with a way to support it
Aurelius is an independent project and free to use. Aurelius Maximus lifts the limits on thoughts and conversations with the Sage and, above all, supports the development of what comes next. Aurelius runs on Android 12 and newer.
